The objectives of hazard identification are to:
-Identify hazards associated with the facilities and their operations, the threats, and the circumstances which may trigger hazardous events (i.e. incidents when a hazard is realized);
-Identify the potential characteristics of hazardous events; and
-Identify potential preventive measures.
